The F2 children joined in with the 2mins silence this morning to think about the soldier’s in the war.

After the Remembrance Day assembly, the children wanted to mark their respect by drawing posters, these have been displayed in out classroom window. We will be holding 2 minutes silence on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. Lest we forget.

The children have been doing some observational drawings on things they may see in the Autumn.

Using shapes to make pictures. We are focusing on shapes with 4 sides.

We spoke about how we keep safe on bonfire night as we sat round the fire pit. The children then went and made their own sparklers using sticks and leafs before enjoying a toasted marshmallow.

In Y3 art, we have been focusing on bird sculptures. The children studied different sculptures and images of birds. Then they created these AMAZING 3D sculptures. Take a look!

As part of our Y4 topic this term, the children have looked at Ancient Egyptians and now we are exploring the Stone Age, Iron Age and Bronze Age. The children have worked collaboratively to create timelines of these periods in history. Great work Kingfishers!

We are incredibly proud to announce that we have joined together with other local schools and the Children's Capital of Culture to take part in an art project. We will be working with Sculptor, Jason Thompson, who created the Parkway Man, the Rivelin Valley Chair and many other local sculptures, to create a sculpture that will hopefully become a landmark for Kimberworth.
