What a wonderful year we have had at Meadow View! Today we celebrated by having a tasty ice cream from the ice cream van.

We all enjoyed an ice lolly together in this hot weather. Thank you Mrs Logan for the lovely treat.

The year 5/6 children were amazing searching for and identifying all different types of flora and fauna in our forest school area today.

We have been using the traditional Japanese technique to transfer natural objects on to paper using a hammer.

As part of our Science topic, Kingfishers have been exploring how plants grow and the process of transporting water. We looked at an awesome experiment where colour was added to the water and as the water was transported up the plant it transported the colour to the petals of the flower. Will our experiment work? We have been practicing our skill of pushing and gliding on the bikes. We are getting good at balancing on our bikes.

The EYFS children have been learning all about water safety this afternoon. We know we need to hold hand and take 2 steps back.

The Year 4 children found lots of interesting bugs in our area today.

It was a very hot day today. Children made sure they stayed safe by wearing hats and exploring in the shaded areas.

We put up a hammock today and had a lovely time relaxing in the shade.

This week year 1 have enjoyed their reward for winning the attendance race two weeks in a row! Well done year 1

The children showed resilience in keeping their tent pegs in the ground today. Substituting pots and pans for hammers to secure them into the ground. We also found a snail and made him a nice home.
