Pupil Premium

The Government believes that the Pupil Premium, funding which is additional to main school funding, is the best way to address some of the underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their peers. The funding is aimed to tackle disadvantage and to reach the children who need it most.

New measures have been included in performance tables of results that capture the achievement of pupils eligible for free school meals and therefore covered by the Pupil Premium. From September 2012, schools are required to publish through their website information about how the premium has been used.

Data Protection (GDPR)

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a legal framework that sets guidelines for the collection and processing of personal information of individuals within the European Union (EU).

The GDPR sets out the principles for data management and the rights of the individual, while also imposing fines that can be revenue-based. The General Data Protection Regulation covers all companies that deal with data of EU citizens, so it is a critical regulation for corporate compliance officers at banks, insurers, and other financial companies.

GDPR came into effect across the EU on May 25, 2018.
